Hydraulic Shop Press For Gluing4/12
Is anyone using the H shape shop presses
There may be problems with the jacks leaking off over time. Most jacks will slowly bleed off though some less than others.
Wouldn’t a bar clamp or vacuum bag be more flexible, cost effective and efficient with space?
The jack may leak off with time.
I've seen this done once or twice. One company I know of was making laminated chair backs by stacking male/female caul sets about 6 sets high. The overall height of the press was about 6' so it could hold the 6 press sets.
I've often thought that on a smaller scale you could pull the same thing off with an inexpensive bearing press.
