Going to IWF?8/18
I will be giving seminars at the IWF show on Wednesday (Measuring Moisture), Thursday (Rough Mill Improvement; All About Wood for the Manufacturer); Friday (Gluing; Analyzing Incoming Lumber; Machining). ADVANCE SIGN-UP REQUIRED.
Stop in and say "HELLO."
This will be my third trip to the IWF. Im bringing one of my employees with me.
Were signed up for your Friday afternoon talk. Really looking forward to it, as I have been reading your columns for many years.
I look forward to seeing you. Please introduce yourself.
II have been going since 1976, except I missed two shows, so that is 18 that I have been to, and the early ones were in Louisville, KY.
I was 6 in 1976... First woodworking show I was taken to by my father, was the Canadian WMS in Toronto, in about 1980'ish when I was 10 or 11. He snuck me in - I was kicked out due to being too young (insurance reasons). I still remember that day.
Being up in Northern Canada, I consider myself lucky to have been to the IWF and AWFS show's several times. Its a trek for sure, but each time was a learning experience in one way or another.
I think more small shop owners should take advantage of what these shows have to offer. Always an eye opener!
Ill introduce myself. Thanks.
