Sock Organizer for Drawers3/20
We're looking for some type of belt/sock tie dividers to use in the drawer of our closet products. Ideally something that is trimmable, or customizable to fit different sized drawers.
We finally began picking up simple plastic dividers at Bed, Bath and Beyond or similar sources. Often we would just tell the customer where to get them and save ourselves a trip, depending on the scope of the order. After considering the flexibility often needed from customer to customer, plus the dividers were not a profit factor, we chose this route. Plus it kept the overall cost of our closet systems less by shifting this option to the customer. Another plus was it did not delay our installations by adding another accessory. This was usually addressed after the install by our designer/organizer when the clothing was being moved into the units.
Thanks very much.
I use all 1/2" material and two 5mm confirmats per divider (through the drawer bottom). It's not adjustable, but it's not permanent either.
The example drawer initially had three plain dividers. I changed the dividers/layout to give adjustable secondary dividers a try (liking them). I lucked out and only needed to drill new holes (w/ 32mm drill jig), but Hafele has nice unobtrusive cover caps for unused holes.
