Titus level question

Rookie question, I've never used these.
What is the tab on the base plate for?
Thanks

If you're talking about the flange at the top of the leveler, it's extended on one side so you can position it to stick out beyond the side of the box to carry the adjacent cabinet without needing another 4 levelers there. At least that's what I was taught when we used them overseas.

I once built three large tall cabinets for my shop with those feet on them. They were about 24" w x 96"t x 25"d. We had not screwed them to the wall yet and my guys started loading them up with heavy stuff. About an hour later the ends came crashing down to the floor as the screws that held them to deck burst through the bottom of the deck. Then I realized what those tabs are for. Adjustable shelves are sitting on pins that are stuck into holes in the side of the cabinet. The weight is distributed to the ends and then transferred to whatever is holding them up. Ideally, this would be the feet- thus the tabs. Just my .02.
