Stock feeder set up

I'm trying to set up a a delta unisaw with stock feeder. So far so good, but I'm running into an issue. Everything is tapped and bolted on and working well however the feeder is forcing the drop piece into the blade. The result is a lot of burning on the drop piece and the saw is under a lot more strain. I'm using a 3 wheel maggi feeder and have it tipped toward the fence about a 1/4". What am missing here. Do I need to add a splitter or riving knife? There barely seems like enough room to position the blade between the 2nd and 3rd wheel. Thanks in advance.

Use less toe angle. You don't need as much, because unlike a shaper, there is no force pushing the wood away from the fence.

Also, make sure that the rip fence isn't flexing under the pressure of the feeder.

Not sure what you mean by tipped. Also you don't mention the width you're ripping. When I rip narrow pieces I remove the second wheel, keeping the bottom of the wheels parallel to the table with a slight direction towards the fence. With the blade down try feeding a board an inch away from the fence and see if it slowly drifts towards the fence. And like Mark said, I clamp a scrap piece to the side extension up against the rip fence to keep it from flexing.
