Does anyone have any experience with a general international sliding panel saw?
Model 50-910 MB
Quality, accuracy, user friendly, durability
Currently looking at a used one to buy. Single phase
Any opinions?
Thanks

Bottom of the road brand.
What kind of budget to spend?
Check out IRS auctions or ex-factory, they get lots of slider saws listed with pricing.
360 degrees is another GREAT place to shop . We just purchased a 10"- 8' slider.
SCMI $7,990.00 brand new. All the bells and whistles.

If it's truly a General International, then it was made in China or Taiwan. Maybe someone still sells that saw in a different paint and branding, but there will be no parts from General.

With so many good European sliders, new and used available I wouldn't consider an Asian saw. I personnaly have an F45 Altendorf.

I agree with Ken. We've got a SCM SL16W that has been run hard and still tracks dead on. 1988 model that I bought new. It ran 2 shifts a day for quite a few years before we bought our Schelling. Now it is mainly used for odd and end things or setup with jigs for odd cuts. I wouldn't part with it.
