Cost of PUR6/23
We are thinking of testing PUR Glue on our holz her bander.
I can't find much info about the added cost of running PUR.
I know you use less so just looking at glue pricing wont help.
Can anyone shed some light on this subject?
We have an SCM banded capable of running pur in pellet form. Iíve found the glue itself to be amazing. But (thereís always a but) it takes us about 1 hour to switch over. Heat up time, purging the cleaning agent, etc etc.
Also if you are going to pellet route: the have a extremely short shelf life. After opening, the jowat we use has a shelf life of about 5 days. Do NOT use it after that. Almost bricked a glue pot. Check the expiry date of the glue too. Donít accept glue from a supply if itís going to expire in 4-6 months.
In addition I would strongly recommend having a small chest freezer on hand. If you have power outage or something, you can pull the pot and store in the freezer until you are back up. Hope that helps!
What about cost difference?
