Looking for a 1/2 downspiral trim bit with a replaceable carbide insert.

Why the need for a replaceable insert requirement?

We trim baltic birch and particle board 8 hours a day 5 days a week.
Solid carbide gets expensive if replaced every week.
We need the bearing so we can't sharpen them.

The factory sharpened the flush trim bit after brazing the carbide on, so can anyone else. The bearing comes off. Speaking of bearings, you will need a bunch of those too. No bearing will last as long as a couple of replaced inserts. With that kind of footage run, shop for diamond cutters.

The problem with the sharpening is the dimensional change with respect to the bearing.
Insert carbide is harder so will last longer but I did not see any down shear

Just a thought, Along with the downcut spirals. We offer a bearing that is .490 in diameter that will allow you to get a couple more uses after the bit is sharpened a couple of times.
