Tall Finish End Panels12/1
Hey Guys,I have some 24.75 X 90" pantry cabinets with exposed ends that require FEP's.
The pantry has a tall Shaker style door with a shorter door stacked above it ;typical of a full height cabinet.
In the past I've installed FEP's that mimic the cabinet doors and filled and painted the screw holes and gap between the FEP's so you don't see them through the gap between the panels.
I'm thinking of one tall Shaker FEP to solve this issue which repeats itself several times on this job.
My question is ...Should I do this and will the center rails look odd if they don't line up? Or should I forget the gap and just stack them tight so theres no gap??
I would love to hear what do you guys do?
I do a one piece panel that mimics the doors. I use a 1/8 by 1/8 groove between the "doors" to make everything match up nice.
I normally do an end panel that is one piece and donít try to match it to the doors but just make the panel side itself 3 equal panels. There have been a few times that Iíve wanted to have the look that youíre talking about so I made the side a face frame and made doors for it that didnít open, just fakes.
