I've got an Onsrud 145G12 of which enters a 'machine stopped' state when attempting to datumn. We had a dying x-drive of which was replaced, all connections and switches checked and are good, voltage good.

It looks like you are starting up your machine and it is homing (datum). From the video, it looks like it is failing when homing the Z-Axis. But I can say for sure. But with it Datum Z Axis and stopping. I would look there for a problem.

Correct. It's hanging up when attempting to datum the z-axis. I've checked all wires and voltage and everything else according to the manufacturer, it may be the z motor. we've got a tech coming out. Thank you.
We are currently dealing with the same issue. We have 2 145G12 machines and troubleshot it down by switching out components, to the main computer.
We sent it out for repair, got it back and it is still having a Z AXIS failure. To make sure it IS NOT THE MACHINE we took the repaired computer and put it into the known working machine. The problem followed to the OTHER WORKING MACHINE.
We took the computer from the WORKING MACHINE and put it into the one with the Z AXIS failure, and it worked.
So we sent the main computer out again and it came back still broken with the same failure. We swapped computers again, and same results... the known good computer works and the recently repaired computer follows to the other machine.
We sent it out again, and it came back again with the SAME ISSUE.
At this point we are thinking it is either a FIRMWARE load, which we have performed and NO FIX or the problem with the computer still hasn't been fixed even though it has been repaired 3 times.
We are down to the COMPUTER still not being fixed, since we keep putting the known good one in and the machine works, or the FIRMWARE for that computer is wrong, which makes no since because it is the FIRMWARE the other computer is programmed to and the correct one for this machine.
I am out of ideas and I can't keep sending a computer to be "FIXED" if it keeps coming back with the SAME PROBLEM.
So if your tech gave you a solution I would really like to know what they did or did you all get sent a NEW FIRMWARE different from what we were sent July 2015?
