Currently we make our cabinet doors in house. We make them 1/8 over-sized in width and length. We then square them on a vertical panel saw. We have tried squaring them on the CNC but we get too much tear out on the end grain. If you are squaring cabinet doors on a CNC what type of tooling are you using? What speed and feed rates?
Thanks

We square doors on the cnc. We get no tear out. But we don't just take a trip around the door.
We use counter rotating tooling so we don't blow out end grain. We cut to the middle.
We use Vortex 1/2" dia compression cutters.
The feed and speed is what is recommenced in their catalog. I can look that up if you like.

Thanks I can give them a call. How are you holding your doors in place?

Vacuum, make sure you cover most of the rest of the spoil board. We use hardboard to do that. The biggest problem is placing the door on the table. The pins are not accurate enough. As the doors get large (very large) it becomes a problem.

Here is the chip load chart it gives feeds and speeds for cutters and material.
