Pattern Systems/Biesse Rover9/19
Does anyone know if tech support is still available for Pattern Systems? I know they become a part of 20/20 but have heard that 20/20 has discontinued selling the products. I have even heard that 20/20 is now part of Styles Machinery.
What I really in need of is my company has just purchased a Biesse Rover, PTP and we are still using Pattern Systems. I am looking for some assistance with setting up the machine map including the barcode information that will print on the label. Is there anyone out there still using Pattern Systems and Biesse?
Thank You Very Much:
What is pattern systems ? You need to program each labels in biesse R.
You need to program each labels in biesse R.
Within DrillMate (the part of Pattern Systems that creates the drilling/routing information) is a line in the Machine Map that creates the barcode and sends it to the label software. Currently it is set up with for program name. However the machine needs the program name followed by .bpp for the machine to pull up the program at the machine. So I need to find a way to add the .bpp to the label of find a way for Biesse to not require the .bpp at the end of the program name.
This is why I am hoping to find someone that is maybe still using Pattern Systems and A Biesse Rover.
Jim, morning, one correction,
Not sure if the post is completed with PS but sure someone has it.
For the label..it needs to be Code 39 and the program extension will be (.iso) or .txt. The path will be xnc (wnc)/home/p_p/prog and the scanner will default to look in that folder for the program. I can send you the doc to set up the scanner..(symbol ls4208 with 9pin connector and power supply)
As always, for more technical info. please contact email@example.com or 704-357-3131.
We had 4 different machine maps or post for Biesse machines and prior to purchasing the machine had sent this information to Biesse to verify if it would work, they responded it would. We are now trying to work through different issues.
As far as adding the .bpp to the barcode this information was provided by Biesse tech support. The barcode I am using I believe is code 39 but will need to check, the other information you provided I will also need to check and see if I have this set correctly.
Please send the doc for the scanner setup, it may provide some information I donít already have, thank you in advance. My e-mail is firstname.lastname@example.org and my system blocks out .doc as well as other extensions so it would work best if you send as a zip file, or rename with a different extension before sending and I will rename back.
Yes you should contact directly Biesse support, it may simple problem.
Unless you go with Biesse software you will need to use the WRT package within the the wrt software that runs the input and output addresses. As for patern systems I did an install around 2005 that used this software and it was an issue back then as customer could not do multi programs without inserting certain characters to allow it to optimize the code using cam 3. Ask about the converter Biesse Canada has to convert your standard iso code to run on the new Rover. Just so you know they do not push the converter as they would have you use Biesseworks to run machine.
