HELP ON MACHINE ERROR9/15
This is indeed a very cool and educative web page.
I will like to request your assistance in some errors noticed on my CNC machine.
I have a WEEKE venture 3XL CNC machine and few days ago, i experienced some errors which states: "HORIZONTAL DRILL HEAD STILL LOWERED."
I will appreciate your advice and comments on the cause and what to do to resolve it.
Sounds like a proximity switch did not change states if the head did indeed return to the up position. Check to see it the horizontal unit returned all the way, if so check the switch.
Most grateful Mike. I assume you're referring to "Limit switch". i'll check and reply you.
From you photo, it looks like it is down. Can you push it up? There is a pneumatic valve on top. Make sure it is working properly. Those are fairly delicate and don't take collisions well. Lubricate the two outside guide rails and see if you can move it up and down. When everything works properly you should be able to pull it down and it will retract on its own.
