I am wondering about how many sheets of material other shops are getting from their bits and what bits you are using.
We have seen around 100 sheets of material out of our vortex xp bits in a 3/8" 2 flute.

It depends on your machine. I use 60-126 mw 3 flute Onsruds on all our machines. I get about 1000 sheets to a tool. By then i just replace it. Not worth sharpening and comping at machine. It payed for it sell 5 times over so who cares.

We use a 2 flute 3/8 compression from BC Saw. We find we can get well over 200 sheets from the tool. We are primarily cutting maple grained melamine and MDF. Using either of these materials, minor chipout is not very noticeable.
When cutting white melamine, we get around 80 sheets before any chipout gets noticeable.
