Drawer parts on router1/11
Went from Cabinetware to cabinetvision we are now trying to cut drawer parts on cnc router . Lot of small pieces to handle. Our edgebander leaves small tailes and small amount of glue which requires hand work to flush before assembly . Is any one cutting these parts on a router? What are the pros and cons of doing drawers this way
I've read your question twice, but I still don't understand what exactly you are asking. Is your question on construction methods, or assembly, or your edgebander?
Yes , we cut drawers on the router.
The only con i can think of is you dont get to cut your drawers out of all the scrap laying around the shop
We cut all our drawers on the router and we also bore holes in the fronts for washer head screws for adjustment and make a notch for the hooks on the back side of the undermount runners. Works great but you do have to be careful about throwing small parts across the table.
We nest in a job and run return onion skin @ 600 ipm+ we leave a 3/8 parameter all arounfd the spoil board we dowel @ 32mm and send em throught the doweller @ the same time the case parts go through
