Bit radius not matching corner radius
12/8/17
Is anyone familiar with TPA CAD? I am attempting to use this software to make mdf doors. When I pocket out a rectangle ( shaker door panel) with a 1/8" cutter the corner radius is more than 1/16", closer to 3/32". Any ideas?

Are you programming a radius in the corner or leaving it sharp?

It's programmed as a rectangular pocket. I haven't specified any corner radius, I just assumed it would be the radius of the bit.

What's the G code say at the corners?

Chris,
It sounds like you are pocketing out the center. Most programs I have used by default when you pocket stay on the inside of the profile. What you want to do is add a separate operation that cuts on center of the profile. This would get you what you are looking for.

Look at the G Code
It could be that there is a small radius being called for in the corner?
If the G Code is good, it could be tool deflection. When I do a pocket I use a 2" for pocketing and then go around the inside edge of the pocket with a 1/2", then a 1/8".

my freinds TpaCAd have no gcode
its parametric format like Mpr Bpp...
chriss i guss you use one of the built in macro in tpa
to see its segments you must go to Tools
and Expolation
about sharp corner in Tpa ,you must create macro for that
not so easy but i did it many times in past
its not something built in ,like in other cad
