Upgrading to biesseworks1/12
Has anybody upgraded an older biesse (2001 rover 24) to biesseworks. I use the nc1000 controller. I got a quote from biesse of 11,000.00. They want 3,500.00 for Biesse works advanced and 1,000.00 for hot line support which I don't have a problem with. But they want 6,700.00 for a new HP RP5810 windows computer with XP, Ethercat, WRT, and LAN card. I can buy the computer new for 700.00. I'm not sure about the Ethercat but 6,700.00 is crazy. Just wanted to see if anybody else has upgraded.
Steve, the pricing definitely seems to be higher than it should be. Please contact me directly so we can review in detail to find out what happened and get this resolved.
If it is a option I would upgrade to Windows 10. XP is no longer being supported by Microsoft, Dropbox or Google Drive. Upgrading to XP is not a upgrade.
much easy just buy the advance and buy pp from bsw to yours old cnc
I got a quote for 8 or 9 K
We post from cabinetvision to our Rover 30 and honestly, I could not to this day see how it would be helpful.
I used to stand @ my Rover321 and program and got an estimate to post to it for some crazy dollar figure and bought the Rover30 with some of that $
