Sealed Collets

We are getting dust under the collet/nut.
We had a spindle fail and there was dust inside the spindle that may have lead to the failure.
Do any of you use sealed tool holders? We are HSK63F.

Check you tool holders, there may be a threaded hole between the collet and the inside of the taper. This allows dust to work its way into the spindle. You should have a set screw in the hole to prevent dust contaminating the spindle.

there is some cnc that the air blower not close even after tool lock (i think biesse)
you can try this option ,or if you want save money ,can add regulator with anther command that when spindle off the pressure will be less but not close

There must be a hole either through the side of the cone or through the collet. There is air pressurization on Biesse Rovers and if the air can't get out then you will have trouble during tool changes.
