Sorry for the delay in reposting but I had to go out of town for a funeral. Regardless, after trying 5 different times to reinstall the original software I finally got all the disks to read. On each of the prior attempts to reinstall the 9 setup disks, various disks could not be read for whatever reason. Finally on the last time I was able to reach the setup complete screen. Then after looking through all of my backup disks for 21 years I was able to locate the machine data from 2004. After reloading the dati, cicli, and conf files I was finally back to the original setup which eliminated the problem that I was having. I then took the hard drive and had it cloned on 3 other hard drives. Needless to say I learned an invaluable lesson. I now have taken numerous steps to give myself much redundancy. Even though my machine is somewhat ancient compared to today’s technology, I still find myself learning things even after being with the machine for 21 years. Russ at Biesse (who incidentally installed the machine in 97) provided invaluable knowledge. I am going to hate to see him retire when the time comes. The only other tech that I know of that understands the older machines is Rick T. who is also a top notch tech himself. Take care of your older Biesse machines guys because they are getting harder and harder to support. I am so thankful to Russ, Rick, and Biesse for supporting their customers and machines. This post, and problem is officially resolved. Thanks for the input from the other members of this site.
