Humidification
3/19/19
Hello, Any thoughts on humidification systems for the shop? I was looking at a used one with the atomizing heads throughout the shop. I ended up getting outbid and not want to spend anymore on it. It was an older unit but worked when i went to inspection who knows how long it would last. I was looking at specs and it said 10 micron droplets which i thought was kinda big. I have 14' celings around 3000 total sqft one man shop. I have been using a 3500sqft whole house that you have to fill about every 1.5 days for the past 5 years during the heating months. It runs for awhile then does shut off. Looking to move on from that next year. I do have infloor heat, central dust collector inside and air makeup unit for booth. I was also looking at a Smart Fog system. Any thoughts or recommendations? I am located in WI.

I have been using humidifiers from Dnb Humidifiers for some years now. They work great, are easy to maintain and clean, and fill themselves from a 1/4" flexible waterline you run along the ceiling to it. You also need an outlet on the ceiling for it. I have two of them in 6000 sq. ft. and they do a great job even though Dnb,s guidelines say I should have 3 or 4. I also use their humidistat that turns them on and off as needed. They look like little space ships hanging from the ceiling. A quick internet search will get you to their site.
