I often build furniture and have worked in large production shops before. I sm looking to purchase a paint sprayer for my own kitchen cabinets. Any suggestions.as I will be using paint. I own a 5hp compressor.
For the money I have had good luck with the Astro brand of guns. I also have a 5hp compressor and it seems to do fine with the HVLP type gun. I also have a LVLP gun which I dont use much.
What kind of paint? Many paints have a much higher viscosity than clear coats or pigmented lacquer. To spray those you need a gun with a pressure pot or pressurized cup. Some pigmented lacquers, however, have viscosities pretty similar to most clear coats and you can spray them with a common gravity feed HVLP gun. So, it depends upon the viscosity of the paint you want to spray.
$200 will get ya an OK gravity gun. That's about it. What size tank on the 5hp comp?
