Finish Supplier for South Jersey?Philly7/29
Quick question. I need to order a topcoat (pre-cat is fine, C/V is better)
The issue is that I need approximately 22 different colors and the majority of them are for edges on graphic panels.
Therefore the quantity I need is a quart tops of each flavor. They are all pigmented colors and have to be matched to a Benjamin Moore fandeck.
My supplier used to color match quarts but recently sent notice that matching will only be done in gallons.
I really don't want 22 gallons of 1-off colors that will not be used again, let alone the disposal cost at the recycling center.
Any thoughts appreciated.
try russell plywood in new castle pa or in reading
The Atlantic Plywood I use will do this. Only time there is a problem is when the formula has a 1/128th in it. Then you're stuck with a 1/2 gallon.
Thanks. I know Russell is a MLC distributor, what line is Atlantic Plywood repping?
Also, what part of the state are they in? I am currently using Valspar as my finish.
The deal with MLC also.
Richelieu in Lincoln Park (northern NJ) is now color matching with Valspar finishes. It might be worth a call to see if they will do quarts.
You should talk with Ed Cocker, at Russell Plywood in New Castle,DE. Ed's a great guy and lacquer specialist for ML Campbell.
Call Target Coatings in Fair Lawn, NJ. They custom color match all Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams colors in their EM6500 Pigmented Lacquer Series. They will tint quarts, gallons or 5's. Good service at Target. 800-752-9922 ex 2 Speak with Jeff Weiss
