epoxy sealer under 2k poly?

more specifically; Does anyone know if MLC Polarion will go on top of Smith's Clear Penetrating Epoxy Sealer without issue or will a barrier coat between them be necessary? Thank you.

I can't help you with that brand of epoxy. But I just did a slab that I filled holes with the West System epoxy, I used the 207 hardener which is designed to have finish applied to it.

Since my slab was Bubinga I had to use Isolante which is a isolation/oily sealer. Seems to stick to the epoxy well.

I built a table top out of yellow pine LVL by ripping into strips two inches wide and re ripping the original faces to clean up and remove wax. I then edge glued them, kind of looks like Bamboo. After testing with a ball point pen I thought it was to soft for a dining room table. I applied two coats of Smiths this helped with the hardness issue, and did an great job of sealing the surface. I then sanded it to hand sanded it to 220 and applied a coat of Bona Traffic to it. The next day I was scuffing the Bona for a second coat and noticed a spot that rubbed threw, I started picking at it with my finger nail it kept growing. I ended up removing the entire coat of Bona in one sheet 32 x 96. I then applied a coat of XIM bond enhancer and three coats of Bona Traffic. All is well and came out great

Some more info;
this project has a high (unavoidable?) possibility for product failure; l'm finishing (2) sinks turned from western bigleaf maple burl both with live edges and plenty of bark on the top edge and outside of the bowls.
l've finished about a dozen walnut ones for this guy already using 2 different finish schedules over the years with great results (one is going on 6 years old and looks new :note, it doesn't get much use:)
our original method was; 1 coat Smith's CPES, 4-5 coats Rudd Prothane
The schedule now is; MLC Polarion sealer followed by 3-4 coats of Polarion 2k poly.
The walnut sinks did not have a live edge.
So because of the softer wood and bark on the maple sinks l've brushed and poured on/in 1 coat of Smith's CPES and was hoping to use the 2k poly as I was thinking I could use the slow reducer and a brush to work the finish into the nooks and cranies of the bark to help keep the water out...

I've brushed Polarion Sealer on before trying to fill oak grain. It does work.
