Favorite gun cleaning brushes/kits??8/17
What are your favorite brushes for cleaning spray guns?
We spray conversion varnish which can sometimes be tricky to clean, especially after it's cured on after 10-12 hours in a hot summer shop.
I'm aware of the gun cleaning kits from ML Campbell/WURTH, and it's OK but I find the end-tip brushes a bit on the weak side.
What do you guys use to get up in the nooks and crannies fairly efficiently?
I just use the cheap gun cleaning kit brushes bought off Ebay, they seem to work fine for me.Lots of different sizes.
There are plenty of different kits on Amazon. I've been using one from Astro for years. Their stuff including guns are very good value.
I drop my tips in aircraft stripper for 10 minutes and the cv blisters off, then spray with air and flush with gunwash and they come out brand new. For gun bodies I just paint the outside with the stripper and it lifts all the crud but doesn't affect the body.
The C.A.T. kit is quality
every brush cleaning kit I have bought in the last 5 years are all about the same tbh...and are cheap made in china stuff,
mlc, cat and the rest...all about the same..
Lab rat supplies makes a hardy brush kit. 12 brushes from a micro to a 2", nice to have.
