small diameter hickory logs10/22
I'm looking for 2" to 3" diameter hickory logs 8' to 10' long , with bark and straight . I need approximately 12 logs this size.
Logs with such a small diameter would be considered a niche market, not something you'll find at a sawmill. Your best chance of finding something like that is to look locally (assuming you live where hickory grows) for a landowner/farmer willing to let you come cut what you want on their place. Fortunately, it sounds like it's small enough you wouldn't need equipment to load and unload them.
Recently cut a hickory tree have 5 straight 19 foot logs for sale. 11-15 inch diameter I will sell cheap to get rid of them.. in southern Indiana.
I have plenty of them. I am in Georgia, so I may be too far away from you.
