NW Arkansas Red Cedar stump prices11/9
Need to know the per ton price, for approx 2,000 ton red cedar on 580 acres? Nov 09, 2015.
Are you asking for saw log quality or mulch trees? Around here saw log quality trees that grow in mixed hardwood are generally bought by the BF on the stump I offer 15 cents and delivered to my mill 35 cents - I rarely have to pay for logs here though I have them given to me enough to meet my demand - I do not sell ERC much anymore only use it for our own farm purposes and also I do have 2 commercial contracts I maintain but no longer sell to the public.
If you're asking about mulch logs I don't have a clue what those guys pay or how they offer it.
a timber cruiser did a cruise of the property in 2009. Hdw. Pulp, Pine Pulp, Hdwd. S/T, Pine S/T and Cedar. Total est was $242,629. Cedar portion was valued at $20.00/Tn x 2,000 tn = $40,000. Since that estimate the price on everything has gone up some. Can a person actually expect to get that much money for the cedar timber on the stump?
Last bid sale in Ky I was at, stumpage was $31 per ton.
