Cabinet installation prices6/7
I'm thinking of installing for a local cabinet maker who is busy these days. I was wondering if there are piece prices per cabinet box, if the piece price includes a separate toe kick assembly ect, and crown and moulding prices? All his trim comes pre-finished 10'. Thanks.
There are more than a few variables to consider; I've installed for guys who built to install easily and the cabinets went in in a breeze, we were all happy. Another left huge scribe stiles, no kickplate nailers, didn't add any extra top rail to install the crown and didn't deliver all the components at once. I had to go back four times. And this guy had a pretty good reputation too.
I pay a good installer $350 a day . (If they have a license and insurance). The first time
Installer rates in Toronto Canada are $65/ hour (CAD)
In Calgary , $55 (CAD)
In Vancouver $ 50 (CAD)
In Seattle $ $35-$40 (USD)
My area of expertise are custom metal cabinets and decorative. I basically design the layout and with some assistance from metal fabrication service like Bayview Metals Ontario, I complete the project. If any additional installation work comes, I charge an extra of $50 per hr, cheaper than normal rates which are in the range $55 - $70 per hr.
