Poplar for sauna walls4/20
Need to re-panel walls in a sauna....
Wet sauna or dry sauna? Poplar has almost zero rot resistance.
Dry, there is a separate steam room.
My plan right now is to temporarily put some poplar on the wall and see how it reacts?
Iíd try to find a new supplier.
Cedar has been used successfully in saunas for about a century. If yours is cupping then itís been installed improperly or itís just crap material.
Poplar isnít going to be any better than cedar regarding the stains. You just gotta get used to it.
