Hafele EKU-Forte pull-out adjustments10/14
I've been working with cabinet hardware for 50 years and I'm constantly perplexed by the recent European hardware systems. I'm trying to adjust a EKU-Forte pull-out and the installation instructions are of little help. Does anyone have experience with these systems?
I feel your pain and have installed one of these. The top has an adjustable roller which is the part mounted on the case. This is adjusted by a screw. The real adjustments to tilt the door side to side or up/down are allen screws mounted underneath the slide. Hard to get to as I had to lie on floor slide open the unit and find the buggers. Taking the whole unit out and putting it back in was also a major problem. Forgot the trick for doing that.
Hey CP, I'm Scott, Häfele America's corporate trainer. I don't know if you've already found the answer to your questions yet, but just in case you haven't, or in case someone else experiences these issues, I've got some info that might help:
For adjustments – there are only 2 adjustment screws located on the bottom / front of the runner – one on each side…so hopefully you can get to both sides of the pullout. You can also drill a hole through your bottom panel and access these screws from the top if you prefer and don’t mind seeing the access holes. All the other adjustments come from the placement of the unit in the cabinet etc. …not extremely forgiving. (Dare I say Swiss?)
Lastly, should you encounter issues like this in the future make sure to contact us through our Customer Service Department. If they don’t know the answer themselves they have access to those who do.
I have installed a couple and one will not close completely, you have to give it a push for the last inch. Would the adjustment screws correct this problem. TIA
