30,60,90 crown around a 3/4" bullnose2/11
I'm looking to do crown around a typical bullnose 3/4" radius drwall corner.
Im trying to lay it out in autocad and the 30/60/90 rule isn't working out. I offset my two lines at 3", then drew lines from the center point of my radius out at 30/60/90 degrees and the corner crown piece needs to be wider in order to work. I was however able to lay it out using 22.5/67.50/112.50 angled lines and all outset lines at 3" each way works.
Is it just not fesible to do 30 degree angles around a 3/4" radius corners?
Seems like 30 60 90 would add up. In the field it's 22.5 22.5 and once more 22.5. Can't give you a CAD/geometry answer as I flunked per algebra 27 years ago.
Thanks for the thoughts. Lol. Im right there with u on the math.
Are you trying to make a corner(90*) out of 3 pieces?
Because my dumb logic told me 30/60/90 in 3 cuts could make it around a 3/4" bullnose outside corner
nope 22.5 the middle piece is usually about 5/8" on the short:)
Is the bullnose 3/4" radius= 1-1/2" diameter or 3/8" radius= 3/4" diameter".
Couple of ways.
