Highest Strength Glue for Laminating2/24
I make wooden glasses, they are comprised of wood veneers laminated together within a vacuum sealer bag, each frame is a 19ply laminate that results in a 4.4mm thick laminate.
I currently use a (Ultra-Cat)urea-formaldehyde resin (PPR) veneer glue. However I'm searching for a glue that will make the laminate very strong, hold up in the sun (high heat tolerance), and will also help to waterproof the laminate. Ive attached a picture of one of my glasses for your reference.
Also can anyone give me insight on how to make these frames very strong while keeping it thin?
West systems epoxy should do the trick.
Also smooth on ea40. its used for making bows
