Repairing urethane feed rollers

The cost to repair a set of feed rollers on a wide belt sander was nearly $800. Had a similar situation on a small Bellsaw planer moulder where replacements were available yet costly.
Located Polyurethane Products at 800-772-7072 and sourced 90/95 durometer cast urethane tubes with a 1/4" wall.
Measured my true size of the steel of the roller shaft and material .005 oversized was available.
Using acetone the surfaces were cleaned enough without turning or blasting that 3M Super 77 spray adhesive, available at a car parts store, bonded the materials. The open work time of this adhesive is such that the parts could be slip fit into position without galling the adhesive out of place, acted like a lubricant.
Should work on my power feeder and moulder feed rolls too. About 1/8 the price of replacing or sending out by doing it yourself.

77 is a removable contact cement, formulated for glueing light weight materials. Usually paper or abrasives. I'll be really curious how it works out in a few months. Is that the recommended adhesive from Polyurethane Products?

Thank you for the insight rich c.
This product was recommended by a retail auto parts store which is located next to a 4-wheeler and motorcycle repair shop. Apparently it is used to secure urethane suspension bushings in such off road uses. I will let you know after a few more weeks in use. I have match marked the sleeves to the roller so if it moves the slippage will be clocked. I expect a complete failure, but will note a small movement this way.
