May 21 2009 Drying Hardwood Lumber White and Bright Workshop This one day lumber drying workshop on the campus of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC covers the key methods on how to dry lumber flat, free of stain and of bright color. This is important for "white woods" like maple, sweet gum, tupelo, black gum, beech, hackberry and sycamore. Dry kiln schedules will be covered that use lower temperatures and with higher wet bulb depressions will also be covered. The cost is $45 and lunch is provided.
