Job Duties and Responsibilities
Cutting and shaping timber using machines like saws, moulders, and CNC routers
Follow technical instructions closely
Ability to take accurate measurements
Selecting the right material, and working out the quantity of timber needed
Cleaning workshop tools and servicing equipment
Plans and paces own work efficiency in order to meet daily weekly, project, or team related production goals
Ensures that parts meet specific quality specifications; may propose process improvements in order to increase quality or efficiencies
Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers
Requires precision measuring and math skills for working out quantities
Great problem solving skills
Have an eye for proportion and detail
High school diploma/GED
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
May be required to perform specific tasks that involve lifting, pushing or kneeling
Work is performed within a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust
Knowledge of safety procedures while performing assembly tasks
Willing to submit to a criminal background check and drug screen
Previous experience working with joinery, timber, or construction
Passionate about a career in woodworking
Enjoys performing high quality work in a fast paced environment
Full time position Monday thru Friday from 7am to 5pm with occasional Saturdays.
Compensation is worked out on an individual basis to commensurate with experience
Experience welcomed, but not required for this position
This is an entry level position where the candidate will receive on-the-job training
