Review architectural drawings and specifications to understand fabrication requirements for a project.
Engineer and produce cut lists/CNC programs for parts to produce components such as banquettes, reception desks, planter boxes, and cabinets.
Incorporate dimensions and architect redlines into existing shop drawings before releasing fabrication-ready drawings to production.
Understand advanced computer function of software including, but not limited to, AutoCAD, Microvellum, CutRite, and WoodWOP. All of these programs are integral to fabrication.
Adjust shop drawings to meet architectural design intent given field measurements and current field conditions. Adjust drawings and parts prior to cutting, making sure to follow blueprints to ensure a correctly sized and quality product.
Ensure that engineered product can be safely shipped, delivered, and installed without significant defect.
Support production with direction how to assemble products and sub-assemblies together to form completed units.
Adjust millwork drawings as needed to match as-built conditions.
Be willing to work in any and every department, including shipping, as needed to meet schedule.
Work closely with production manager and operations manager to ensure that scheduled completion and delivery dates are met.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of experience in millwork engineering or Bachelors in Engineering or Architecture.
Experience scaling drawings and adjusting for field conditions, while accounting for machine parameters, in a wood product environment.
Exceptionally strong mechanical/problem solving skills.
Experience reading drawings and specifications, performing precision measurement, and experience in the construction and use of jigs and fixtures.
Able to read, write and speak English.
Able to lift 25+ pounds regularly.
Track record of excellent performance, attendance, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
