About the role:
As an entry- level cabinet maker you will assist in the production of high-quality custom cabinetry and millwork. You will report to the shop 5 days a week and take instruction from the workshop and office managers. You will work efficiently and honestly to meet production deadlines, quality control standards, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Although still learning the skills of the trade, you are a passionate carpenter or woodworker looking to hone your skills and advance your career. You are highly receptive to instruction and are a fast learner. You are willing to put in the time and focus to learn more about cabinetry and millwork and become a professional woodworker. You take great pride in your work and strive to be the best you can be, in the shop and out. You are physically strong, energetic, and willing to help the team however possible. You are respectful, responsible, and get along well with others.
*Take instruction from the lead cabinet maker to produce parts and components to the exact specifications given
*Utilize your knowledge of carpentry, safety protocols, and the tools in the workshop to size parts, cut joinery, assemble, and sand parts according to given instruction
*Work in a safe, efficient, and productive manner
*Treat the tools and the shop with respect, ensuring they are safe, clean, properly functioning for the next person who uses them
*Keep the shop space, including tool and material storage areas and cabinets clean and organized
*Pickup raw materials from suppliers and checking quantities and specifications against invoices
*Moving heavy raw materials and finished millwork and cabinetry components around the workshop
*Loading/unloading, shipping, and delivering heavy materials and cabinetry parts from the workshop to sites for installation
*Ask for guidance when you are unsure of how to complete a task or utilize a specific tool
*Work with the lead cabinet maker to identify knowledge gaps and actively work to improve your woodworking skills
*Utilize any downtime in the shop to clean, perform shop tool maintenance, or review workshop reference texts to learn more about woodworking
Successful candidates will have all or most of these qualifications:
*1-2 years experience with woodworking tools and carpentry techniques
*Ability to lift heavy (60lbs+) items and maneuver through tight spaces with control
*License and clean driving record
*Demonstrated track record of responsibility, organization, and honesty
*Ability to take instruction once and learn quickly
*Own basic hand tools
