unibond 800 exterior use

I was wondering if anyone has experience using this product for exterior work. I have some laminated exterior door jambs to make and was wondering how it would hold up. I have used it quite a bit for interior applications, I like the fact that there is little to no springback and a long open time.

Kevin,
Unibond 800 should (when used properly) meet HPVA Type II water resistance standards. Essentially, it will give you good water resistance unless directly exposed to extreme conditions.

I have used it extensively for laminations that are exposed to cold and wet environments each year. I don't think I've had a glue failure yet. Other kinds of issues yes, but not related to glue bond.

After some thought, I may use titebond 2 extend for these curves. I’m concerned about shop temperature affecting the unibond. Shop stays in the mid- low 60’s. Has anyone experienced any issues with unibond 800 glue ups under 70 degrees?

I feel like any PVA glue is going to give more springback than plastic resin glue, but maybe that's not a concern for your application. I threw an electric blanket over the vacuum bag, which worked nicely. I was able to get 3 parts per day, each part in the bag for 4 hours with the blanket on high.
