Have you pulled of a duh! Or two lately?5/8
Hey everyone, there is a lot of stress in the big old world these days, people struggling to pay the bills, struggling to even put food on the table.
Hmm, most recent I can think of, we had an elevation change on a job - I redrew it, then I printed off a hard copy which I took into the back and said "Here, this is correct." 10 minutes later one of the guys came into the office and said "This looks just like the old one." I had printed off the wrong drawing. "Oops," I said, "Sorry about that, I'll get you the right one." Print, walk out to the floor, drop it off. 10 minutes later, he's back in my office and asks "Do you get lonely in here?" "Not really, why?" I asked. "Oh, I thought maybe you keep giving me the wrong drawings because you like getting visitors." Yep, reprinted the same set of wrong drawings.
One time I started a cabinet shop. I still chuckle at my folly now and again...
LOL Karl, us too
I printed some labels the other day and they ran out so I refilled the printer and followed the instructions ( sheet of lables with which side upo and which end in the printer) and printed them again.
Since then the office Admin refilled the printer. Foreman comes in today and the labels are printed on the wrog side (from the other day) so I flip the stack over and reprint, still the wrong side so I flip again, still wrong. I pull them out of the drawer and they bottom up on top and bottom down on the bottom so when I flip they are wrong. I sort and put them back in and print agian, still on the wrong side.
Finaly got it straigtned out. Some people (me) should stay away from highly technical devices.
Any day I can find my way to work or home from work is a good day
As we say around the office "Don't get lost on the way home"
The worst one I can think of right now is going to an install about 1 1/2 hours away and getting half way there and realizing (the bad version of an epiphany) I forgot to put my tools in the truck. A real F**- moment
Hey everyone, thanks for playing along, I remember a big box store many years ago that based all their commercials on a guy who would tile himself into a corner or cut his saw horse in half and it always made me laugh. It is funny until it happens to you.
