GE Monogram Fridge Full Overlay Installation12/10
Need some design help, here, designing a cabinet for a 36 inch GE Monogram refrigerator.
Kitchen is full Overlay. I want to build the fridge cabinet full overlay, too, so that the fridge doors are in the same plane as the cabinetry.
Ive done tons of inset scenarios, but oddly, never a full overlay.
The Monogram installation instructions show a picture of a full overlay installation, but they call it "flush inset".
After several calls to GE Tech support, I have not been able to figure out if I can make the fridge doors close properly on top of a face frame.
Anyway, if anyone has some experience with this, especially if they have a shop drawing they would like to share, I wold be obliged.
It is very possible that the answer is clear and easy and I am too blinded by the forest, here.
Thanks in advance.
Your first mistake is using a GE monogram
Could be - most of the fridges I have to consider are Wolf or Subzero or Thermadore - and all of the integrated ones I've done were from among those three. Not my choice, however.

We do this by having the sides of the cabinet over the ref extend all the way down to the floor. they are then also acting like ref. Panels . It's been a while but from memory I think for the 42 wide fridge the cabinet ends up 43.5 wide.
Hey thanks, Jay for reasonable input.
After minutes turned to hours with the appliance place, GE tech support, and a gaggle of buddies, I've come to the conclusion that it just isn't possible - not in the way we'd like to do it.
