Brad nailer is blowing wind2/25
I have Ridgid brad nailer that just all of sudden went pop. Then it started blowing air out the back. Have now had this happen to a second one.
Any ideas on the problem and solution?
I have had a similar problem with the staplers we use. The best I remember on one it was an o-ring that was bad, on top the piston/striker. The air that should have been lifting the striker back up was blowing by and out the exhaust port. On mine, I could remove the top cap by taking out 4 screws. By carefully removing the cap, I could lift everything out and see my problem. On that gun, I was able to order the part and replace it. The shipping may be more than the part, you might want to order a few extra O-rings and get more for your buck. If that is the problem.
Thanks. That is the problem.
Rebuild kits for these sometimes cost more than a factory reconditioned nailer. By the time you add your labor into the mix, might as well chuck it in the trash.
