help buying a new edgebander8/18
looking at the Holzher 1327 and the SCM k560 both are servo. has anyone had issues with the servo motors? Any issues with the computer and or software? Is using the PUR glue worth it? Is one bander better than the other?
we have the holzher 1329 and the scm k600 which both are a little over a year old.
we will be doing mostly pvc and wood strips. verry little laminte. some 3m. have you used your holzher for pvc? you say the scm does a better job with pvc, but how much better as i am now more inclined to go with the holzher as i have had discussions with techs and owners of the holzher who swear by it.
Concerning your thoughts on pur glue..since you be running very little laminate then I would stay with eva glue without a doubt. Pur glue and cleaner can get expensive and cost of labor and such for clean up ..
to bruce..do you have any servo motors on either bander? my concern is the accuracy and future reliability of the servo motors as i hear they are very costly to replace
jut 1 motor on our scmi which adjusts the pre-mill fence. everything else is manually adjusted . our holzher has quit a few as most stations are adjusted on screen.. we have had zero problems out of them. accuracy is great. where are u located?
