Dovetail tool for CNC / drawers9/3
anyone using CNC for dovetail drawers?
We build 99% of our drawer boxes in house using the dovetail bit from cnc solutions. We have cut 100s of boxes and are still on the original bit. You can't sharpen it or you'll lose the geometry but they are way cheaper than the vortex insert bit. If you are using cabinet vision it is already set up for this bit.
thank you for your response,
That's the one. I think it makes a nicer looking joint than the vortex bit. I've never used mosaic but I imagine there must be a way to use this bit with it.
If you are talking about cutting the dovetails in a nested operation, we can help you with that. We actually have 3 different tools for the different wood thicknesses.
The DCP41897 CNC Dovetail bits have been hard to come by. I had Southeast tool reproduce it and its available here.
