Weeke Grease

Has anyone had any luck matching up the proper grease for their machine from a supplier other than the machine vendor? I wouldn't mind if they were reasonably priced, but it seems like I'm paying a lot for the name. I'm sure a place that specializes in grease could match it up with an equivalent product.

Short word of caution. You may find a suitable grease that will perform to specifications, but purge the machine of the old stuff. I had a grease substitute that, when mixed with the original, turned into a waxy paste that clogged the grease lines leading to the bearings. Spent a lot of hours cleaning the lines of the automatic lube system In order to get up and running. At the end of the day, it was more expensive than buying the original grease from the manufacturer.

Great Point Mike, I never really considered that. If there is at all that chance, I'd rather just stick with the Weeke Grease. Knowing my luck what happened to you would also happen to me...when we're slammed with work!
Thanks

What grease is it? If it is the Mobilux you can get that from Better Vacuum Cups at a great price. The reason it is hard to find is Mobile sells it in a bucket only, I called and spoke with them directly and they were surprised it was being put in tubes for a gun as it is a 0 weight grease.
I wouldn't use anything other than whats spec'd for the machine. I had a guy check on a compatible grease and we ran it in our machine. It wasn't compatible and plugged all the lines require an all day project of getting the old grease out and the proper stuff in.

If the Grease is for the Drill Block, then use the correct stuff!!!, Central Lube is fine as long as it's Chemically the same
