Biesseworks and Windows 83/10
Has anyone had any luck with making biesseworks run in windows 8?
I was thinking of running a virtual machine but had no idea if that would work or not.
Biesse says it won't run on windows 8 and I am trying not to have to go buy a used computer for the office.
We are buying a pc from biesse with "Windows 2009 Imbedded." It is supported until 2023 i think. We are buying it for our back up pc for a Rover controller
Yes I've been running windows 8 for about 2 years with no problems. It's not supported or guaranteed to work per Biesse, but I had Courtney people me set it up and have no problems.
I've had Biesseworks running fine on Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 across a range of computers. The only trick is when you're installing it be sure to run the setup.exe in compatibility mode:
- right click > properties
I use VMware virtual machine use it for biesseworks and for my old biesse rover 346 with windows 98 serial card. My newer rover b I have window xp with wireless conection have had no issues.
