SCM Maestro out of memory issue

Our new SCM Morbidelli CNC nesting machine is great workcenter though it has poor "eyeM" PC with insufficient RAM. After a year of usage there has been many disappointments how bad software its own CADCAM Maestro is. Memory runs out even in the most simply work.

Has anyone successfully added RAM for this?

Machine importer doesn't know how to and SCM doesn't want to give the instructions or even one single hint where to start. I took a quick look inside and seems there has almost 60 screws to be loosed.

Does it say memory issue or file to big when you open the program in panel Mac

I have not reached to Panel Mac with "large" projects because Maestro's nesting module fails. It's funny to call these basic nestings large because these are very basic 2D-works.

This PC has 4gb of RAM which is minimum to run Windows 7.

I really dislike Maestro. It is very limited as to what you can do and not all that user friendly. I bought v carve pro and it will run circles around Maestro and way easier to use. I bought it through SCM and they wrote the post for me. I run it on a laptop and send the g code to the machine via the shop network. This is only for small one off stuff. All cabinet parts come from Mozaik.

Thanks for the info, I was reading awhile back where people with SCM were having troubles getting Mozaik and V carve pro to work.

I have had zero problems with either one. Mozaik wrote our post before the machine got here. We were cutting parts as soon as the machine was running. I think they make a couple of minor changes to get it like we wanted and make the push off table work. I bough vcarve from SCM and they wrote the post for me. I was the first one to buy it from them so it took 2-3 times to get the post perfect.

Thanks for the info, I had no idea that SCM even sold that. How much of an upcharge was it over buying directly from Vectric?

Mozaik seems very interesting. Does it create good nesting results? Or optimizations?

It’s pain in the ass to work with Maestro because it’s optimizations doesn’t work like them should.

We have a SCM Morbidelli N-100 and our sheets are cutting mirrored on the y axis. Can someone help me navigate to the screen to switch the mirror option on the Y/X axis please. Thanks!

Which reference points you are using? I.eg. with our N100: If I run program using EH-references it runs it like drawed. If HE-references then result is mirrored by X-axis. Same thing if you switch to another siee of the table. Then result will be mirrored within Y-axis.

I discussed with SCM engineer about this and it can’t be disabled by user.
