dux spray guns

Hi, Has anyone used Dux spray guns? Their website claims(with studies to back them up) that there is significantly less overspray, therefore using less paint, and less filter changes. We currently use water based paint and primer. No clear finishes. any feedback is appreciated.

I own and occaisionally use a dux pressure feed gun.
l'm a spray gun fiend so a year ago when I saw a new one on e-bay for $900.00, I bought it.
it's a beautiful gun and when dialed in right you can achieve flawless results at a fast production rate with it. In my experience using it, it was not the air saving, minimal overspray miracle that Dux claims it to be. yes, it did use less air and make less overspray then my go to WB clear gun (Sata 1000k rp) but it didn't have as fine as atomization or as even a spray pattern or as trouble free operation so the Sata is back on the wb clear pot and the Dux is on the solvent clear pot... a lowly spot in my shop as most solvent clears are sprayed with a AAA. Also; it has tight mechanical tolerances so you have to keep it very clean for it to work properly.
In retrospect I should of/could of bought 2 Binks Trophy guns for the same price I paid for the Dux gun.

just my two cents, it sprays okay, for the money not worth it, you can buy a sata or binks, etc and get a better value, they dux had the biggest campaign for a gun i ever saw about 2003 at a woodshow, but they had a good run but have run out of steam, an aa gun and a gravity feed gun is where you want to put your money

Thanks for the info. They are pretty pricey. I have a Binks 2100. Is the trophy series that much better?

a self confessed spray gun fiend would own a Binks Trophy spray gun...and I do! I have the lvmp pressure feed model. Fantastic spray gun, to my mind equal to the Sata 1000k at 2/3 the price with even cheaper (and availible) parts.but you asked for comparison to a 2100; spray quality is equal, spray transfer rate is a bit better. what would make it a better WB gun is that it has stainless steel fluid passages and I think the 2100 does not.

correction...the 2100 does have stainless steel fluid passage.
