Spraying Sayerlack Hydroplus with a CATech Bobcat9/26
We're starting to use this product and really like it. However, we're having a little trouble spraying it with our CATech AAA rig. We're getting a fair amount of clogging.
Clogging at the tip like buildup? or clogging in the pump? Gotta be more specific.
Switch your intake tube to the 1/2'" pump fluid inlet, and switch your fluid hose to 3/16" Fluid hose. I spray Sayerlack everyday through a C.A. Tech AAA, we had problems at first with shearing and clogging, since the switch over, no more problems
Right, sorry. Clogging in the pump.
Strain your material into a clean bucket with a medium or fine cone strainer.... sometimes waterborne materials have some chunky monkees in them... this will step up your quality....keep the material very lightly agitated and covered and you can also help your waterbornes lay out better by adding USP grade propylene glycol at 3-5%.... it help our micro bubbling expedentionally and it helps the coating relax better... larger diameter hoses and the pre- atomizing orfice tips are a must...
Hey Gary. Are you guys using the normal tips with the Hydroplus or did you get one of the new "F" tips?
I would say it is probably your pump, I spray water base sayer lack and was told by the supplier that a 14:1 ratio pump would be borderline on spraying the stuff, the lower ratio pumps cause shear. I spray this product with my kremlin 30:1 pump and it sprays beautifully.
