Kremlin: Tip sizes WB enamel,acrylic4/3
I have a Kremlin 15C25. Looking to start spraying some WB products like SW-Emerald Urethane, BM-Advance etc.
Has anybody sprayed materials like this, and if so what tip size would you recommend?
The 15C25 is your pump. What gun do you have on it?
Airmix Xcite 120 bar
I have the same pump but haven't shot waterborne through it. Sherwin Williams' datasheet on Emerald Urethane says tip size should be .013 to .017. Cross-checking that with a Kremlin Airmix tip chart shows a #9, #12, or #14 tip depending on what you want for a fan size. They suggest an Xtra fine tip for waterborne.
Thank you Jared.
Funny thing is i have sprayed those materials many times with my airless and I have never gone by the recommendations of the products. Not against it but I have never done well sticking to the labels. I use half the PSI they recommend and several sizes smaller than the orifice recommendation.
I did speak to my Kremlin rep and he thought I should try a #12 as you mentioned. But, he wasnt sure and with tips being so pricey I didnt really want to try on a guess. I thought maybe somebody on the forum had a tip they like to use. I'll try the 12.
Thanks again for your time and input.
Scott there are quite a few #14 tips available for under $50 on eBay to start you journey
