Opaque Finish for Kitchen Cab Doors11/26
Almost all of the work I do is lacquer/cv clear finishing but my client wants her doors in an off white sherwin williams color. I was recommended Target Emtech 6500 tinted. I would appreciate comments on this. I will be using a Fuji 4 stage hvlp. Don't have a ton of experience with waterbase so could use some suggestions on that too. Do you think this is a good product to use. Thanks Howard
Just have the color tinted to the product of CV you usually use. They get the color they want, you use the product you're used to.
I've sprayed many gallons of Target 6500. It's a good product, with a few caveats. It only comes in a single sheen - satin, but it's on the dull side of satin. To get it to the desired sheen, I spray a coat (or 2) of their EM9300 clear over it. This also results in a more durable finish. More work, but the end result is very good.
Sherwin Williams will mix CV to any
