Paperbacked veneer is a horrible product in my opinion. You have two glue bonds to worry about. The paper to the cabinet, and the paper to the veneer. Too hot of solvent in the finish and you can get a partial release of the bond between the paper and veneer. Two ply veneer is far superior!
Rich beat me to it.
Why is the cabinet being veneered in the first place? Is this a refinish or refacing job?
Thanks for the help guys.
